Storyboard overview

The Storyboard is where you build and edit course content. Top to bottom, it's organized into three regions: the navigation bar, the modules panel, and the editor area.

Across the top of the editor:

  • Left — links for switching between Storyboard, Course content, and Preview.
  • Middle — the course title. Click it to open a modal for editing.
  • Right — the Publish button, language switch, notification bell, help center link, and an X to close the editor and return to your library.

Modules panel

Just below the navigation bar, the modules panel lists every module in your course as a horizontal row. The first one is the start screen.

  • Click a module to switch the editor below to it.
  • Double-click to rename.
  • Drag to reorder.
  • The X in a module's top-right corner deletes it.
  • The + button on the left of the row adds a new module.

The start screen is the exception: it's fixed in place and can't be renamed, dragged, or deleted.

Editor area

Below the modules panel sits the editor area, where you shape the open module's content. The contents change with the module type — slides for custom modules, questions for quiz modules — but the layout is the same:

  • Left: outline. A navigable list of slides or questions inside the module. Click an item to open it for editing.
  • Center: edit panel. A WYSIWYG view of the current slide or question, where you place components, write text, and lay things out.
  • Right: properties. Settings for the currently selected item — a slide, a component, a transition, or the module itself.

Asset manager

The bottom-left of the edit panel has a button that opens the asset manager as a panel beneath the edit panel. From there you can browse and pick the course's images, videos, icons, and audio without leaving the slide. See Asset manager for details.
